Established in 2023, the Center for Applied Research in Public Health Law, Rights and Policy aims to actively engage in tackling emerging issues within the realm of global and domestic public health law, policy, and ethics. These issues span a wide spectrum, encompassing areas such as legal readiness for emergencies, vaccination policies, healthcare system reform, safeguarding reproductive rights, injury prevention, and upholding constitutional rights and safeguards.
At the heart of its initiatives, the Center endeavours to facilitate collaborative efforts between students and esteemed scholars, practitioners, and policymakers. This convergence aims to effectively address the crucial challenges that arise at the intersection of law, ethics, policy, and the well-being of the public. Drawing from a diverse cohort of scholars and strong partnerships on a national level, the Centre is committed to advancing the role of law as a potent instrument for enhancing public health.
To fulfill its mission, the Centre will conduct meticulous legal and policy research targeted towards specific issues, while also creating innovative tools and educational resources. Through these endeavours, the Centre can contribute significantly to scholarly discourse and extends its impact by collaborating closely with leaders in public health and medicine.
